Guest guest
Michelle, be patient on the Mississippi, everyone's right. Communications for that whole area is either down, or not consistent. Just found out this morning that we have some refugees from New Orleans here in Bryan, Texas. I went to the Salvation Army at lunch and wrote a check (they're providing three meals a day at two different locations. Word is that New Orleans won't be inhabitable until maybe December!! The little girl at the Salvation Army told me that a lot of people aren't going back, they're looking for work here. So I called a friend of mine at Kelly Temp Services and she'd already been johnny-on-the-spot and has been visiting with those folks and are lining them up for interviews for jobs. I simply cannot imagine having lost everything. I feel so blessed. Deb & Christine .... MY GOSH!! You guys are busy! But I'm gonna jump in there with my story: Currently working as a secretary of sorts for an economic consulting group -- has offices everywhere - a nice company. Used to be an office manager for a law firm, until I decided to leave the big city and move to the country. Help out son & daughter-in-law raising quarter horse race horses, and with their son (my perfect grandchild!), my 93 year old mother lives with me, recently had a stroke, but still living with me. I garden - started with herbs and things went " downhill " from there!! Once I started with herbs I went to essential oils and make my own scents, soaps, etc. I also do herbal wreaths ... but not much time. Try to read (but I fall asleep!!), and I've also started dabbling in some art stuff with chalks, water colors, and all sorts of other media ... having fun with that. Guest guest
What are we doing? Gee...studied French langauge and lit in a past life in Amsterdam, Holland. Once in B.C. discovered there was an inner peasant just bursting to get out. After some waittressing and child bearing/raising ended up spending 13 years as Home Support Worker. Left that 5 years ago. Developed passion for all sorts of forms of natural healing on the side. Became Reflexology/Reiki practitioner, mess around with herbs for my own use (just made a Hawthorne tinc that is positively yummy) and also work to find markets for herbs that are helping to save chunks of Amazon Rainforest. My latest passion is Emotional Freedom Technique. Healing at your fingertips. Try it on EVERYTHING! Oh, and I cast the odd horoscope. I want to figure out a way to combine EFT with astrology. Guest guest
EFT & astrology? How interesting... like how, choosing life-issues to work on based on what's indicated by one's chart? >Oh, and I cast the odd horoscope. >I want to figure out a way to combine EFT >with astrology.
