Guest guest
Benefits: - Improves quality and longevity of life (it's also called Longevity Soup " ) - Tonifies the Jing, kidneys, bones, and brain - Improves stomach function, digestion, absorption Ingredients: 1 organic chicken, turkey, or lamb 3 quarts water 1 carrot 1 onion 2 celery sticks 2 Tbsp raw apple cider vinegar astragalus shittake mushrooms rosemary hawthorn berries (I didn't have these, so I left 'em out) Method: Cook or bake the meat in the oven, take the meat off the bones, and break the bones in half with a knife. On the other hand, I went to the butcher, asked for organic beef bones for marrow soup, and had them chop the bones for me. I didn't bother cooking them, since they were already meatless and chopped. Cut up the veggies, combine with bones, water, and herbs in a crock pot. Cook on low for 24-36 hours. If you'd like to cook on the stovetop, bring to a boil and then simmer... be sure to keep adding water, 2 times a day. When done, strain the broth out and save; compost the solids. After complete cooling in refrigerator, skim the fat off the top. Dosage: Use as a medicinal. 1/4 to 1/2 cup, one to two times a day, before meals, i.e. lunch & dinner. I froze mine in ice cube trays, and simply melt a cube in a cup of hot water. -Josh
