Hi everyone.. I have a new trauma this week. If there is anyone in any of

the groups that is in the Mississippi area that has computer access, please

contact me...

My uncle went down to D'Iberville MS( which is about 4 miles outside of

Biloxi) to look at property, and no one has heard from him since Sunday

afternoon. The house that he rented, there is no answer(we expected that), but

there

is no answer on his cell phone either.

I've tried calling the Red Cross, but at the moment they don't know what

they can do to help me. If anyone has any suggestions on who I might contact

to find out information or such to help find my uncle , it would be greatly

appreciated.

His kids are freaking out and my family is a basketcase.

Thanks. I know that I've been asking for a lot of prayers and such, lately.

Thank you! Please say prayers for everyone. I've seen a few post on other

groups to worrying about family members they can't get in touch with.

I have several friends in Miss. The power is out in a lot of the state, but

they were able to call out by cell phone from their location. There may

easily be cell phone repeaters out where he is. Or his phone could have been

ruined by water.

Not in Miss. but maybe I can reassure you on something... I wouldn't get

panicked over not being able to get in touch by cell phone. They

specifically pointed out to people that the cell towers in that area had

been pretty much ripped by the storm and that there was NO service for

anyone... They mentioned this for people like you who have a loved one in

the area and are trying to get in touch.

Sorry I can't be of more help...

My heart goes out to you and your family. Hopefully, the Red Cross will be

able to help you in a short time. Their disaster relief operation down

there has been described in our local paper, Eugene, Oregon, as trying to

set up a major corporation in just 1 day.

Hopefully, you will hear soon from your uncle.

Kindest regards~

Hi Sandra:

Just an idea here. I heard some of the businesses are open already. If you

could find a real estate person who knows the area and is kind enough to be

concerned enough to look for him or just to check on the rental he has, that

might help ? Just a thought. I can't imagine your worry and upset. Bet

you can't even get in down there right now but don't really know.
