Try making a peach pudding! You cant go wrong with that!!! you make it just

like you were making banana pudding except use the peache slices instead...

then to make the pudding to go over this,,,,1 can of evaporated milk, 1 egg

beaten well in the milk, 1 tsp vanilla flavoring, and 2/3 cups of sugar ( i

am diabetic so i use splenda) cook this over low heat until it starts to

thicken a bit and then pour over the peaches and vanilla wafers. People that

visit us here and have never tried it. wont leave without the recipe and it

is very easy to make.....hope you try it and enjoy it as much as we do!!!

Chris, do you and your family like peach pie? You can mix up all

the ingredients for fresh peach pie, the freeze it...when you're in

the mood for a pie, thaw it out, put it in a pie shell and bake as

usual. My mother used to do this, and now I do it--in fact, I just

got peaches the other day, so I'll be making peach pie fill to

freeze this weekend. If you need a recipe let me know, but I'm

assuming any fresh peach pie recipe would work.

In hot weather, I put really ripe peaches (skins and all) in the blender

with cold buttermilk and a little vanilla. Very refreshing!

there's nothing like a peach pie. why not make a few and freeze

them so you can have them through the winter? you could make

the crust - well make the whole pie but don't bake it. just freeze!

Hey folks,

I went nuts and bought a case of organic peaches and have to get using

them IMMEDIATELY as they are totally ripe and ready to eat.

Please post your favorite peach recipes!

Well, don't have my mother's recipe book in front of me so can't give you her

peach marmalade recipe. But if you have a pint or quart of peeled and sliced

peaches left...after all the recipe headings I read..how about making some Peach

Liqueur?

Fill a jar with peaches.

Add enough Vodka or Brandy to cover the peaches to an inch below the top of

jar.

Let set for at least 3 month (this will be around Thanksgiving, hehe)in a dark

cabinet, shaking the jar occationally.

After the alotted time strain liquid off of peaches. Make a simple syrup of

water and sugar with a 1:1 or 1;2 ratio (depends on how sweet you want it), boil

the water and sugar until sugar is disolved, and then for another minute or two.

Add it to the peach/alchohol mixture, then bottle as desired.

Spoon the peaches you have remaining over ice cream, pound cake and eat and go

to bed, as that is about all you will be able to do<G>!

ENJOY!

Anita

PS- this can be done with most any fruit.

It's even easier when you freeze it in the pie tin(in

plastic)so it is a pie shape already.Ravenstone
