I know we have nurses on here, researchers, web developers, someone works for Nasa (which ALWAYS impresses me when I think of her), authors etc... So. What do you do other than oils? And Chris? Don't we have a data base where folk can put in their info in case we need their services? -- Cheers! Guest guest
I am involved in Product Development in the craft industry full-time; I have also been a certified massage therapist for 5 years, and I continue to do massage in my spare time... after working 50+ hours/week which includes travelling about 6-8 times a year, being a single mom to two young sons, owning my own home. And I am looking into taking some Master Herbalist courses (also in my " spare " time!) Woobey Queen <WoobeyQueen wrote:Seeing as how it's ad day anyway... Guest guest
Jill of many trades here. I've done retail, customer service, vet tech work, horse training, gift wrap, bridal registry consultant, event planning, food service, secretary, and currently am an editorial assistant (which pays most of the bills). I am also writing my own book on guinea pig care, because the vast majority have pretty glossy pictures of mutts that are incorrectly labeled, with little actual helpful information. I sought to change that! I work at the University from 9-5 as an editorial assistant to the editor in chief for a scientific journal, go home and do marketing/development/inventory control with my soap business. I work the booth at the Saturday market. I also am training in the art of dressage with my 8 year old Lipizzan mare. I keep parrots, raise and show guinea pigs, and am learning more about heirloom gardening, organically. My husband is an umemployed physicist who has spent the last year looking for work, unsuccessfully, in our area. We may need to relocate again. I am dealing with that the best way I know how, which is to get another part time job. Probably Michaels or Joanne's, evenings and Sundays, seasonal part time. On some days I get a few hours of sleep too.. ;-) No kids and no desire for such, but our four legged and feathered friends are enough. Guest guest
Hey! Is that " her " from NASA me? At the moment, in fact, I'm on traveling on business in London this week, coordinating a science meeting for the Cassini Program. I've been here since last Thursday, and have gotten in probably all the sightseeing I'll have time for as the meetings started today. I'm also here hoping the hideous-looking bruise on my chin will disappear before the wedding I'm attending in Ohio next Saturday (I brought a heli blend with me, putting it on twice a day and covering it up as best I can as it really does look quite bad). It's not disappearing nearly fast enough, of course! It looks like a chin implant gone awry. LOL As for my " what else " , I also do some rubber stamping, cross-stitching and lots of beading. And, as you know I'm also a Mary Kay Lady, so that takes up a good piece of my time, too. If anyone is interested in Mary Kay, my website is below in my sig. Cheerio!
