Guest guest
I have been asked to mix up a blend for a friend who says the dr. says she has the start of cataracts. I have searched my books but can find nothing on this subject. Can anyone help me? Someone told her to use frankincense around the eye. Would you do this? I have had cataract surgery on both eyes. If there were ANY natural treatment, I'd have tried it. To my knowledge, there is none. and to claim that applying an eo to the skin around the eyes can cause a cataract's tissue to dissolve or shrink is.... unscrupulous? yeah, that's a good word. and I bet if some of us tried REAL hard we could guess who told her that...or, at least, which company's Frankincense they are recommending. Guest guest
Thanks, I didn't think this would work. Someone mentioned using rose hydrosol for an infection in the eye but never has frankincese ever been mentioned for anything like this. Thanks for the input. Guest guest
Maria Treben recommends putting the fresh sap of Celandine on closed eyelids. Guest guest
Where would one find fresh sap of Celandine and what exactly is it? Guest guest
Maria Treben, author of " Health from God's Pharmacy " recommends putting the fresh juice of Greater Celandine stem on the closed eyelid. Celandine is a weed-like plant in moderate climates. I found it growing in the back alley of my sister's flat in Hilversum, Holland! If you crush the stem an orange-yellow sap comes out, use that. No fussing, straight from Gaia to you. It self-seeds freely and I hate to admit that I do not even know offhand if it is annual or perannial. If you have a plant you are bound to find one next year, so maybe it doesn't matter.
