Guest guest
Hi Maria, Good to see ya here. I think your soap questins probably got lost in the " intro " subject line .. cause we have quite a few soap makers here who do all sorts of fun stuff with soap including use milk and honey, etc .... When using cinnamon oil in soap - be sure to ONLY use cinnamon leaf oil - NOT BARK oil - the bark oil is a severe skin irritant and potent sensitizer. Were you planning on using the cinnamon oil in the soap, or herb or both? Is the vanilla a FO? I've personally never recalculated the water my formulas for adding honey - cause I don't add THAT much. If you're worried about the soap being too moist cause of the water content in the honey, just remove as much water as you added honey (say you add 1 oz of honey - take out an oz of water). When using milk some folks semi freeze it cause if you add the lye directly to non frozen milk, it'll turn orange and get very hot .. Honey also makes the soap get hot ... *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com , " Maria " <mariaeaston@s...> wrote: > Hell everyone!
