Hi folks,

rarely do I reply to the list, as I am just reading and learning and

learning and reading. What a great place Chris has for this. But I have been

reading this vaccine thing. When I grew up there were about 3 like I read

somewhere in this topic. I remember well the mumps, measles, german measles

and whatever else we got.

And I don't remember this except for one little sound in the back of my head

and as I type I can hear it now. (the iron lung)

I went into the hospital at age 4 for appendicitis but all the beds in the

pediatric unit was full so they stuck me in with a woman on the regular wing

of adults. (if that had happened to my child, I would have taken them to the

cleaners and I am usually quite calm and caring) so I go home and

recouperate to one night get up off the couch to go on the potty, and I

collapse in the middle of the floor. I am quickly rushed to the hospital to

find, I had contracted polio from the woman that they put me in with. Grant

you there is no way of knowing I suppose, but. I spent the next many, many

years of my life suffering the curses of the polio disease. I was blessed

and got the use of my legs back but have had complications in other ways

that probably will be with me always. I have a better outlook on the world

now and am quite active and take some great supplements that help me in many

ways so I can enjoy life better than it was earlier.

It was a blessing when a vaccine was discovered, and I am so thankful folks

are sharing this with those they can. Thanks for listening.

Warmly,

Fran

Frankly, if a small handful of people have a negative

reaction to the vaccine, and they are aware of the

potential of this, I consider that to be obviously, an

awful thing, but well worth the price to pay to have

this horrid disease swept from the face of the earth.

I am so grateful that I did not know about

all this a quarter century ago when my kids

were small.

I still trusted the system back then and cheerfully went along and they got

their shots without ill effect.

But then neither of them is that hyper-sensitive

kind.

My generation was immunized against smallpox

but we just got measles, chicken pox, rubella and even whooping cough as a

matter of course.

Part of childhood!

Probably some kids got complications from

measles . So, now they don't get measles,

but they get weird auto-immune conditions

instead.

Govenment and the individual parents have a

different job to do.

Government has to look at the big picture and

look after the herd so to speak.

Immunization experts use the concept " herd immunity " .

As parents we have to look out for our individual

child, and the herd be damned.

If one in a million has a bad reaction, and that

happens to be my child, then that is 100% for me.

I wish governments would quit stone-walling

the very real concerns of parents.

If I were a young parent today, I would first

wait till my child was a bit older, and then

look into the possibility of spreading

the vaccines out to prevent a sudden load

on the body.

I have been away for a bit.

I came across this topic as I try to catch up on posts (and not doing

it very fast either).

It has come to my attention the last month or 2 that the new vaccines

are not to be trusted. I read in promedmail.com that the vaccines

are only about 20 years old. Then the vaccines are only about (I

believe the figure was) 15% of the populas that received them

developed anti bodies to the disease they were vaccinated for. Not

good odds.

There have been no follow up done on the children who did receive the

vaccinations to see if they developed any anti bodies.

So what do we have here then?

A 15% chance that you will develope antibodies to the disease.

A 85% chance that you will get the disease anyways.

A 100% chance that you should have received a booster shot, because

they do not know the longtivity of the antibodies, and they do not

even know if the vaccine was any good in the first place when they

gave it.

I have seen so many adults that have received the vaccinations

develope other problems in their bodies because of these

vaccinations, even to this day, they can not rid themselves of these

problems.

It would be different if the government was told the truth about the

vaccines but they are not, and it would be different if we were told

the whole truth about them, we are not.

Who do we give the medical bills to when all our children become sick?

Who at that point will even care or listen, just like they did back

then.

These are just my thoughts and do not represent the thoughts of

anyone else.

If you're interested in this subject, go see the Constant Gardener with Ralph

Fiennes. I saw it yesterday, and it is an astonishing piece of filmaking, but

it is also heartbreaking.

I might have to disagree a little bit with the statement that " the government

doesn't know " . I worked for the USDA for 8 years. It is amazing what they do

know, but don't manage to tell the inform the public about. Yes the information

is there, but it is buried in the Federal Register. Those regulations can

sometimes be so difficult to understand, it isn't funny. I know because it was

my job was to understand them so that they could be put into practice.

They only know what the companies tell them, but they also know about the

research that its own agencies do.

Another thing you might want to check out is Kevin Trudeau's current bestselling

book. He covers this same subject. Tam

Hey Tam,

Touche. A victory for one of the good guys. CPB tried to shut Trudeau up and

down. They have the audacity to call themselves the " Consumer Protection

Board " . My son has been after me to buy this book. Wisdom of youth.

JUDGE PROHIBITS NEW YORK’S INTERFERENCE WITH SALE OF KEVIN TRUDEAU’S

BEST-SELLING BOOK

Attempt to Suppress Book Critical of Government Agencies Found to Violate

Author’s First Amendment Rights

Chicago, September 7, 2005 – A federal judge Tuesday issued a preliminary

injunction against the New York State Consumer Protection Board (CPB)

prohibiting it from directly contacting a cable or broadcast station in order to

induce such stations to refuse to carry, or cease to carry advertisements for

the Natural Cures book authored by Kevin Trudeau. The court order protects as

First Amendment speech the advertisements for Kevin Trudeau's best-selling book,

Natural Cures “They” Don’t Want You to Know About. The court's order also

specifically prohibits the CPB from sending a letter to broadcasters asking them

to pull the infomercial.

Mr. Trudeau was required to prove a substantial likelihood of success because he

was seeking to stop a government agency from acting. The court found Mr. Trudeau

met that burden of proof in establishing that his First Amendment rights were

violated and that the infomercials were fair and accurate advertisements for the

book.

The CPB argued the infomercials were misleading. The judge rejected that

argument, however, in granting the preliminary injunction.

Hi Tam,

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I read the book. I'm looking forward to

the movie and already have an idea how they might visualize this story.

Unfortunately, the scenario John LeCarre presents could very well be a

reality, although most of us would hope not. There is a very disturbing

news item just coming into the mainstream, however, that we should be paying

attention to that is not fiction.

One of the articles can be found at http://tinyurl.com/7fhc3 These events

will challenge all of us should it happen. The possibility that this virus

will mutate and learn to travel from human to human (now it only travels

bird to human) is frightening. Certainly not welcome, especially still

reeling on the heels of our overwhelming disaster in SE US. What can we, as

aromatherapists and herbalists, do to help ourselves, families and

communities cope with such a catastrophic pandemic? I intend to eat as much

garlic as I possibly can in the coming months. I'll eat it fresh, roasted

on bread like butter. Copious amounts. It is the best known food source to

improve immunity. And, because we keep prepared for self-sufficiency in the

event of an earthquake here in WA, I'll make sure that we could quarantine

ourselves if need be. I'll diffuse with essential oils that I know will

keep the home environment as free of airborne virus as I can. All Citrus

oils, Backhousia, Conifers - I'll perhaps even include the Artemisia that we

distilled here in WA - one of the big guns I might not use otherwise because

of toxicity risks. We will take oregano suspended in honey, probably as a

precautionary measure, even before we feel symptoms if we know that this flu

has invaded our community. Since doctors claim that there is only one known

vaccine that will affectively destroy this virus and we know there isn't

going to be enough to go around, we had better look to our own

self-sufficiency if this dreadful event comes about. What suggestions might

some of you have?

Your planning is to be applauded.

There may also be much wisdom in the ancient customs

about wearing it as necklace or sachet. The problem

with ingestion is that there are those who suffer

intestinal/stomach irritation, and it is often

contraindicated for pulmonary congestion -

haemoptysis, (vomiting of blood of pulmonary origin)

dry or severe cough, fever.

Sustainted ingestion could become problematic -

especially if dysentery is present. Shigella,

mentioned already as being present in Chemtrails would

be a consideration.

Although probably very unpleasant experience

aesthetically, in a crisis situation, dealing with

unknowns, I would not exclude Garlic and another

important EO, Onion as Blano Bath. I have some on

hand...just in case.

I intend to prepare Tinctures of Garlic and Onion in

the event fresh sources becomes difficult to obtain.

Carol Ann,

Thank you for clarifying for those who cannot tolerate eating garlic;

fortunately, even though I have had acute pancreatitis and other GI

problems, I can eat as much garlic as I like. And, yes, onions should be

included in one form or another, for sure. And, for those who can tolerate

it, cayenne or other hot peppers. Again, you can use the well-diluted

tincture for a more gentle application. We make a lovely ginger-honey

(infused with the root and eo added) for culinary use (and simple

colds/flu), so many kinds of infused honey should also be helpful. I've had

more thoughts when thinking about essential oils or herbs . . . Good old

Thieves Vinegar and the two most important essential oils from the Bible,

frankincense and myrrh should certainly be in our toolboxes. We know that

both these essential oils are powerfully antiviral, antiseptic, and

antibacterial and will address a wide range of known pathogens. They were,

of course, included in the original recipe of Thieves Vinegar. And, we have

to remember that the pharmaceutical industry isn't looking at the

possibilities of natural remedies; when they say there is only one drug

being developed that is effective against this strain, how do we know that

our essential oils won't be? Certainly not prescribing here, just

suggesting we may have to experiment on our own if the time comes.

I hope desperately that we are not faced with this pandemic. Since it has

not learned to transmit from human to human yet, it is somewhat under

control. Once it does that (and probably only a matter of time), however,

it will spread across the globe like Aids - only worse. I do think it is

important to keep an awareness and advise your family and friends, and be

prepared for the worst case scenario.

Be well,

Marcia Elston, Samara Botane, http://www.wingedseed.com/katrina.htm
