Now water main break / Using Only Food On The Body

This is somewhat off topic but in the same realm...If a water main breaks

they tell you to boil the water before you drink it but it is ok to bathe

in. Don't the germs get on your skin and enter through the pores just like

some of the oils and essentials or am I just learning to much. Kat

Kat,

I would imagine that the boil water alert would be for any typ eof

consumption...which you are correct about the body taking it in through the

pores. i wouldn't chance it, you never know what type of microbes are

hangiong out in the water...BTW, do you live in MI? We had a water main

alert in one of the counties north of me...

Kat,

Most elements don't just " enter " the pores of your skin. After all, the skin

is our body's protective barrier against the " stuff " around us. Something

must be " transdermal " to go through unbroken skin; and I've never heard of

water being described as transdermal.

No, I live in Ohio and a town north of here had the water main break. We

have a well that is well over 100 feet underground. Kat
