how much meadowfoam oil? & where to get?

Hey folks,

So at EssentialWholesale.com, meadowfoam seed oil is $45 for 16oz of

the unrefined stuff!

So the two questions I have are: how much have you found you need to

use to get the beneficial effects, like percentage-wise? And does

anyone know where to get the virgin oil cheaper?

If we could find it in bulk, is anyone interested in a co-op?

I know there is a local producer here in my town. I've never called or

gotten quotes or prices, but could.

Oooh... :) Are they on the web? I can do the leg work if you'd like

to provide the contact info... or if you're willing to do it, I'd

sure appreciate it.

I'm looking for as unrefined an oil as possible, so I'd like details

about their process, as well as any info on how organic their supply

is.

Hi Josh and all,

They do have a very nice informative website with some great links too.

It's www.meadowfoam.com

If you want to do the leg work, that's fine. I surely don't mind looking

into it either. I've been tinkering with meadowfoam oil and want to include

it in my products anyway. And of course we all want great pricing so I

think I might just mosey on over to the shop and see if I can pop in for

some info. They're not to far from me. Plus maybe I could just pick up an

order and save on shipping. hehe gotta love that.

Oh how interesting... they are the ones I talked to. Here's what they told ME:

We manufacture the oils, but we actually do not sell direct. The

best source for small quantities is through Essential Wholesale in

Portland, OR.

If you can GET the oil right from them... YAY.

I just bought some meadow foam seed oil from Essential Wholesale. I think I've

purchased some before from The Soap Dish. Herbal Accents carries a lot of

carrier oils.
