Guest guest
About 10 years ago I watched Robin Hood with alan R. I bought the dvd a couple of weeks ago, (Robin Hood prince of Thieves), just because I remembered how wonderful he is/was. I watched it again last night. Man! I had forgotten JUST how wonderfully rotten he was... absolutely brilliant. Personally, I would have chosen him over Costner. M. Marian was an idiot! ROFL! He made me laugh and we really was triffic. Got a giggle out of how the statue ALSO ended up with a scar! LOL! I'm going to have to watch that one again soon! Nice thing about a period piece, they don't go out of style... wish Costner would try the english accent though, really bad... although not quite as bad as Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppens! LOL! Anyone else remember it? -- Cheers! Kathleen Petrides The Woobey Queen Http://www.woobeyworld.com
Guest guest
Yeah I remember it! I love this movie and became an Alan Rickman fan after that. It's very entertaining listening to Kevin Costner's southern accent while everyone else has a British or foreign one, but we can't give Kevin all the flack, Christian Slater's bratty " dude " accent wasn't any better. We make fun of it all the way throught he movie which makes it more funny. Definitely wins my " Ed Wood School of Movie Casting " award. Definitely a must see! Guest guest
I remember seeing this on Father's Day with DH, both DD's and their boyfriends. One DD went to see it because of Chirstian Slater, one Costner...DH & I then saw Rickman in Quigly Down Under with Tom Selleck...played the same kind of bad guy. A week later after Quigly, I saw him on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and his hair is actually a " dirty blond " . He was also in one of the Die Hard movies with Bruce Willis. , Woobey Queen <WoobeyQueen@g...> wrote: > About 10 years ago I watched Robin Hood with alan R.
