Well, the above statement, that I copied from another ad, isn't

exactly correct -- Chris is involved with me as webmistress

(long-suffering, patient, and talented, and goofy, let's not forget

goofy - and as an advertiser ;-)

 

That said, we're working towards the formal launch, which will take

place in mid-to-late September. We've been perfectionists, and it's

been a bit tough, switching servers, etc., but here's the scoop:

 

I'm launching http://naturalperfumery.com as a website that will be

the #1 place on the internet for customers, perfumers and media to

find out about natural perfumes and the people who create them. I host

a of 560+ natural perfumers and even though many of them

have websites, they're scattered all over the web.

 

There is strength in numbers, both in selling, and in raising public

consciousness. I've only started with four perfumers so far, some

members of the . They've acted as guinea pigs for the soft

launch, which was in June. Bless them and their patience as we worked

out all the bugs. I needed a small number to be manageable, since I

never did anything like this before. We will be adding more perfumers

in coming months.

 

I'm opening up advertising to suppliers or educators at this time.

Many natural perfumers and aromatherapists will be visiting the site,

guaranteeing high visibility for you and your products. They're always

on the lookout for new sources!

 

If you are a supplier and wish to advertise on naturalperfumery.com,

contact me. The launch should get a lot of traffic and drive visitors

to the site. Chris' ad is still being reworked at this time, but you

can use it as a model -- there will be either a photo or banner, text,

and a link to your site. I'm setting August 30th as a deadline for

banners, text and supplemental information we'll need for the launch.

 

I've completed an interview about the launch that will appear on a

major perfume site, and I have a press release for the internet news

agencies ready. Additionally, contacts with major beauty and health

magazines are in place, and a promotional campaign will take place at

the launch to tie their publications into naturalperfumery.com with,

hopefully, nice mention in the magazines.

 

I hope you're all as excited as I am with this venture -- it kind of

feels like being the first aromatherapy effort on the web that

involved lots of folks. Exciting and ground-breaking, IMO. Help me

make it grow, and grow the awareness of natural perfume and the

wonderful raw ingredients that are our palette.
