Hi everyone,

I need to make an ointment for a friend that has anti-itch/inflamation

herbs/eo's in it. She is pregnant and doesn't want to use the ointment she

has from the doctor because of the baby. Its a steroid ointment.

I'm wanting to infuse some herbs but I don't know which ones work best or

which eo's to use.

Please help.

Thanks,

Josephene

Roman Chamomile is very gentle and a very good anti-itch creme. I made

some for my mother and worked better than the stuff the doc prescribed

and of course containted no sterioids... in fact the doc told her to

keep using it as it was doing such a good job.

For a pregnant lady, I would keep it to 2.5%.

Plantation and chickweed are both excellent for stopping itch.

I made my own ointment after the doctor said I had excema and I didn't want

to use the steroid cream he prescribed.

It had chickweed, plantation, comfrey and calendula infused in olive oil

with just enough beeswax to make it the consistancy that I wanted. Worked

great for stopping itch and healing the skin. Between that and the concord

grape juice I drank everyday, my excema eventually went away and hasn't been

back since and it's been over a year now. : )

I could get organized but it would only confuse my family.

Hi Mary,

Great! I'll need to get these too. What did the concord grape juice do for

you? Maybe she should start drinking it too.

Thanks,

Josephene
