My Dad was taken to the > ER last Tues morning by ambulance because of trouble breathing. They had > to sedate him to keep the ventilator tube where it is supposed to be. Once that happened, they > gave him not only the sedation, but some sort of paralyzing drug on top of > that. They diagnosed him with Double Pneumonia and COPD. I couldn't even begin to answer that if I were a medical doctor or if I knew the answer because he is under the treatment of a doctor and and only that doctor can answer that question. > Mom reported that the next day after I gave her the sniffies, her & my little > sister both seemed to get worse. I wondered if it wasn't their bodies trying > to rid themselves of the yukkies? If their bodies are not trying to get rid of the invading critters then they are in deep kimchi. Hard to say about the appearing to get worse cause we often do get worse before we get better .. and though Oregano kicks butt on a laundry list of bacterial critters there are obviously some out and about that will not be affected by it .. and it has no direct effect on viruses .. can't kill something that is not alive. It can help the immune system to help itself and maybe force the virus to stop replicating and go back into its hidey hole .. but that's all. > At any rate, after Reiki was sent to him from all over the world, numerous > candles were lit and prayers from everyone.....I am happy to report that > they successfully weaned him off of the ventilator today! Good show .. glad to hear that. :-P > He is finally breathing all on his own.....now he has a week to catch up > for I'll sure send him one to sniff on after he gets home.....but > wanted to check on it as there are other treatments going on simultaneously. Was it one of my relatives I would ask the doctor about allowing them to sniff any essential oil .. some of them can cause a panic and make a person hold their breath .. might not be the right time now .. so I'd definitely ask the doctor for an opinion. > BTW, my 22 YO know it all daughter, who does NOT believe in *any of that > funny stuff you do* was reluctant to admit that her Oregano sniffie bottle > had indeed made her feel better within 24 hours. Major win for Mom!!!!! I hear you on that .. my ex-girlfriend here was like that .. lived on antibiotics .. as is the norm in Turkey because even though they are clearly marked " Sold By Prescription Only " you can get them over the counter and Turks do and take them at first sign of a cold or whatever. I finally convinced her to lay off the pills and try Oregano EO .. she did and had not had a cold or sore throat for months when we split .. prior to that she was having one every 6 weeks it seemed. She was a University Teacher who thought she knew it all and wanted to treat me and everybody else like one of her students. My current purty gal is a Child Psychologist who thinks I am a child who needs to be psychoanalyzed if I disagree with her on something. I reckon I'm either a very tolerant feller or a sucker for a purty face .. maybe both ;-) > Chris Kelly > http://www.scentsappeal.net Y'all keep smiling. :-P Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
