Guest guest
I have chronic tendonitis.... I know from going through surgery and dealing with doctors and workers' compensation abit about how much of a pain this can be :-( There are over 5 " tunnels " that the tendons travel through your wrists... underside of the wrist is carpel tunnel... below the thumb and on the inside is another type of tendonitis etc.... One sure way to help ease the swelling and pain is to do comfrey root poultices at night... alternate as necessary with a wrist splint worn at night to ensure your wrist gets at least 8 hrs of rest. Learn to listen to your body and identify what repetition is causing the pain (trust me, you'll get to know soon enough!!!) Stop as soon as you experience any pain and ice if possible.... do regular stretching exercises for your hands/wrists/arms/shoulders before you start to work hard or do repetitive work. If ice/rest/herbal poultices don't ease the pain/swelling in a few days, its time to see the specialist/doctor HTH Shelley Woobey Queen wrote: >Anyone know anything about it? > >symptoms: Swollen area just above the wrist, tender, aches a bit down >into the hand. Guest guest
Thanks Shelly, Sorry to hear about your tendonitis and the surgery bit... that stinks. However thanks for your post. It was extremely informative and written so well that even a stooge like me understood exactly what you were say. Thanks so much, I surely appreciate it. And as I've been keeping typing and pootie work down to the barest of minimums lately and the swelling has gone down a wee bit... guess what I suspect ;-) K On 7/30/05, Shelley <bbubbles wrote: > I have chronic tendonitis.... Guest guest
Just have to put a plug in for the massage therapists ;-) Sometimes a qualified MT can help tremendously with this type of problem. As well, anyone who's considering surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome would do well to see an MT first... there are many cases of folks who had the surgery, and then still had the pain... which was then helped via massage therapy. Josh I was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel about 16 years ago. Never let them do anything and developed my own little massage plan and even though a recent neurological test shows I still have it, it doesnt bother me. Just my 2 cents worth. } Neysa

Guest guest
I have never had carpal tunnel syndrome, but I have heard a lot of negative reports about people who had surgery and were worse off than before. I would try anything else first! Vitamin B6 is reputed to be helpful. From my Cell Tech days I remember people reporting success with AFA, which is rich in all B vits. Help at your fingertips: Try EmoFree on it. Heck, try it on ANYTHING! I have not been as excited about anything for a long time. Whenever I feel a bit out of sorts I do a few rounds of tapping and feel better right away. Guest guest
Kathleen, everyone: My experience? Someone who has had carpal tunnel and osteoarthritis in my fingers? What worked like a miracle for whatever ails ya in a painful, inflammatory manner usually respond to: Rest Ice (for carpal tunnel and other inflammations, not arthritis) B-6 (or B-complex) Magnesium SJW oil blended with helichrysum (calm down, Martin, low dilution, maybe 1%), toss in some creosote oil, arnica oil, etc. if on hand The idea here is to use antiinflammatory oils, infused or EOs, and stay away from rubifacient oils, like pepper, capsaicin, peppermint, ginger, etc. that you often see touted for pain and strain. http://naturalperfumery.com The premier site on the Web to discover the beauty of Natural Perfume " The Age of the Foodie is passé. Either use crockpot setting on low, or use double-boiler/bain-marie method, i.e., low-heat, gentle infusing. You'll have great arnice oil in a few hours. http://naturalperfumery.com The premier site on the Web to discover the beauty of Natural Perfume " The Age of the Foodie is passé. Guest guest
There is a great product put out by New Chapter, called Zyflamend. Works great for pain and inflamation made from herbs. I use it for pain and when I had tendonitis. --- rastapoodle <mccoy wrote: > Kathleen, everyone: > > My experience? Someone who has had carpal tunnel and > osteoarthritis in > my fingers?
