Guest guest
Rose beads? hand crafted wood beads? A bead on tracking something down??? 10yo just learned macrame and is lamenting that she needs beads to finish her current project. Very cool place in Bar Harbor is where she learned whilst in Maine the past two weeks. A sculptor there opens his shop to teach kids crafts for free. She loved the shop. Guest guest
Knowing you it'll be kewl. The tease is great. I'll stop now 'cuz my mind is heading into the gutter. I could not have sent her to Bar Harbor if she wasn't going with friends who already owned a place there. They've owned for two generations. The personal antique photographs and historical maps they have of the island keep your eyes and mind very entertained. No television do they have. Picnics on the water way out - they sailed from NE Harbor, around SW Harbor and continued out. They also hiked to a lake at the top of some peak and went swimming. She saw dolphins for the first time that she could remember. We saw them in Sanibel too when she was around 3 1/2. We've never seen them in zoos. Refuse to. I was so pleased that she came home talking about the smells of Bar Harbor and a very indignant attitude regarding how lobsters are caught and how many are being trawled (is that the correct term?). She is ranting that the common lobster is going to go the way of the blue lobster and soon if we don't stop. The funniest story I heard about her from the adults is the dance she and her friend went to. Apparently when they arrived they were just standing around. The music must've been good because after a few minutes she just started dancing and got her friend going. Well, when she was re-telling to the adults the way she put it was that the thought that crossed her mind was " There we were. Life was just passing us by. I had to dance. " They are still laughing about it. She's a hoot. Don't know where she came from or why she picked here to land. I think she's mine. She doesn't look a thing like me though. Anyway, we're looking for beads. Dale " People are like teabags. You never know how strong they are until you drop them in hot water. " - Anonymous www.independentchildbirth.com Self care?
