I recently read a report about this. Researchers are currently toying with the

idea it may be the amount of cholesterol on a person's skin that acts as a

mosquito and flea repellant. We all have cholesterol on our skin surfaces, and

how much we have isn't necessarily indicative of the state of our arteries, but

it somehow seems to correlate with how often we are attacked by biting pests.

The more surface cholesterol, the greater our protection, or so it would appear.

More trials are needed to determine if early indications will, indeed, hold

true.

This might explain why my hubby (who has high colesterol and is on meds)never

get bit<G>!
