Guest guest
Good evening all, I know that if a person wishes to work with eo's or herbs that a lot of care must be taken to do it properly. Is it necessary to take courses to do this or can one be self-taught with reliable sources of information? I'm not advocating one over the other but I am curious to know other's thoughts on this. I think this was covered before, sorry for asking yet again! I hope everyone is well and having a better eve' than me; I am about to die over this weather and I'm a native Floridian!! Warily watching the southern Bahamas, too... TIA, Andrea
Guest guest
Hi Andrea, My opinion is it would be virtually impossible to be self-taught in this business because you will have to wind up with a teacher at some point whether it be in college or a neighborhood wisewoman, etc. If you mean self-taught in regards to buying a book on aromatherapy, you'll have to be very careful which books because most of them are incorrect and do not offer correct and/or up-to-date contra- indications of the EO. I went this route, only to find years later that most of what I knew was wrong or dangerous to do because I was going by what I read in books. I now take Martin Watt's aromatherapy course and I'm so glad I did before I either hurt myself or someone else.
