Guest guest
I have a friend who is a man who would like to try soapmaking. I wonder if anyone who is in Canada and sells soapmaking kits could email me off list. I think it would probably be best if the kits were the simplest as possible but I am just trying to get some resources in Canada for him to contact and order from. thanks, Dorothy
Guest guest
Hi Dorothy, Well I don't think they are on this list, but they are in Canada. http://www.cranberrylane.com Lots of do it yourself kits. Guest guest
Hi Dorothy, Shipping to Canada from the US isn't that much, especially if the items can fit into a flat rate envelope. He can get some wonderful soap base from US suppliers (thinking of Vickie's goat milk base) and get it shipped for very little! Ya can't get much simpler than the base itself - you just shred, melt add what you want and mold! All of my soap bases come with instructions and creative ideas as well as e-mail support *Smile* Chris (list mom) Handmade Olive, Shea and Liquid Soap Bases, Contact Vickie For Goat's Milk Soap Base http://www.alittleolfactory.com >I have a friend who is a man who would like to try soapmaking. Guest guest
Thanks Margaret. Are you from Canada? Is that how you knew about them? Have you ordered stuff from them? I will send it on to him and I might have to check it out for myself. Guest guest
Hi Chris, The problem is, that unless the paperwork is correct, there will be duty to pay - and gst - and if UPS ever gets their hands on it, there will be a approx $40 charge just to do paperwork that says nothing is owed. mary Well, Naturally At 05:39 PM 7/21/2005, you wrote: >Hi Dorothy, > >Shipping to Canada from the US isn't that much, especially if the items >can fit into a flat rate envelope. Guest guest
Thanks Christine, I had sent him the information about Vickie's goat milk base. I'll check out what other responses I get but thanks for the suggestion. Guest guest
You're welcome. > >Are you from Canada? Is that how you knew about them? Have you ordered >stuff from them? I'm not from Canada, I'm in Oregon. I found their site about 5 years ago when I was first getting into natural toiletries. Yes, I ordered 2 of their kits. They've really grown and offer so much more now. > >I will send it on to him and I might have to check it out for myself. Cool! Have fun with it.
