Guest guest
Hi, I just got a question during my summer workshop here, regarding a severe case of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, not smoking related (hereditary). I have of course some ideas of the use of some essential oils, but would love to have some other viewpoints and most important of all, experiences, aromatherapy related or not, Michel Vanhove, France
Guest guest
Dear Michel, Ive found an equal amount of Hyssop, Cajeput, Eucalyptus and White Camphor, mixed into salt in a small jar, really helps when used as a smelling salt Mary Well, Naturally At 11:29 AM 7/21/2005, you wrote: >Hi, > >I just got a question during my summer workshop here, regarding a severe >case of >Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, not smoking related (hereditary). >I have of course some ideas of the use of some essential oils, but would >love to have some >other viewpoints and most important of all, experiences, aromatherapy >related or not, > >Michel Vanhove, France > > > > > >Step By Step Instructions On Making Rose Petal Preserves: ><http://www.av-at.com/stuff/rosejam.html>http://www.av-at.com/stuff/rosejam.htm\ l > >To adjust your group settings (i.e. go no mail) see the following link: ></join>/grou\ p//join > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Michel Not much to add to what you will already know but would caution against using steam inhalations for this type of condition. Mary's salts inhalation sounds a very good alternative to steam. I'm asthmatic and steam (no oils) completely takes my breath away and I *have* to reach for the blue inhaler. Also, my father had an initial diagnosis of COPD but was eventually - after further tests - found to have heart failure. Don't know the age of the person your refer to but that may be worth keeping in mind (I'm assuming they *are* under conventional health care supervision?). Dad liked - and found helpful - various blends of amyris, benzoin, basil, elemi, frankinsence and citrus oils. I find lemon very helpful for my own asthma.
