ESSENTIAL OILS. so... an organically produced grape or grain alcohol, denatured with organic essential oils, could still be appropriately labeled organic. Celebrating 10 years online. Guest guest
Maybe US regulations on the sale of alcohols are not as tight as here. Does anyone know how much pure alcohol can be purchased without restrictions on its use or sale? I kind of suspect this may vary between a lot your States. In the UK, " denatured alcohol " is only available on a license with stringent inspections. It is always ready-made with the denaturant chemicals added by the producers. In years past you could buy it by the gallon from small cosmetics suppliers, but that was stopped when they found out that people were redistilling it and using it to drink! High strength alcohol is an ideal solvent for essential oils.
