Well, I was definitely one that missed " the main question " *S* Everyone is different, some go once a day, every other day, etc. If a person is fairly regular & do not go after 2 days then that is the time to start with a gentle prod - stool softeners, etc & after a day or so then a gentle enema in case there could be an obstruction problem. Constipation can cause a general " not feeling good " feeling to even running a low grade fever, loss of appetite, & bloated tummy stuff, etc.. Guest guest Posted July 18, 2005 Report Share Posted July 18, 2005 Thanks Granny, We managed to solve the problem without having to go to doctors, with an enema when she had not gone for a week, and herbal laxatives after that. By the time Mom left here she was quite regular again and was getting more active in other ways too. And she gained a few much needed pounds. This was definitely her last Canadian trip. It just took too much out of her.
