Guest guest
After the vacation from hell. We need your Prayers!! On the way out to Albany the aircraft leaving Tucson had broken down so we were 3 hours late leaving and missed the connection from Atlanta to Albany, So had to stay overnight, at Delta's expense. We had a quiet time in Rhinebeck, Poughkeepsie and Hyde Park NY with Lynda's relatives, 2 weeks of which we were by ourselves and 3 dogs, one of which was a puppy that either barked for hours if outside or whined and was ADHD inside. We drove around sightseeing just to get away. On the way back, Saturday, Lynda misread the itinery and we missed our flight out of Albany by 10 minutes. We had to get the next flight to Atlanta 3 house later, only to arrive and hear them calling the Tucson flight that we originally were on at the next gate, we could not go on that one as our luggage had only been put through to Atlanta and would not have come with us. So the next fight to Tucson was in 7 hours, which turned out to be 11 hours because the plane was delayed leaving Florida bacause of the hurricane. We arrived back home 23 hours after leaving Lynda's sisters house. Whilst we were gone Tucson had some terrible winds and we arrived back at the house to find the Tent/Garage that I did our small business from had blown over and was ripped, all our stock, materials and much of the manufacturing equipment had been destroyed by the sun and wind. I ended up just carting nearly all of it to the dumpster. At this moment we are just devastated. We needed the income from the farmers market and the online orders. So please please pray for us. I know we are at some sort of turning point and that God is testing us but I am at a loss at what direction to go right now and need just to survive. I don't have much, but can share a couple pounds of shea butter, some 16 oz bell bottles, and maybe some odds and ends with you, but I hope you get on your feet again soon... Guest guest
Hi Graham, So sorry to hear of your loss but am glad you and your wife are safe. Kristin's offer prompted me to encourage you to not be shy about posting a wish list. I know I keep changing my mind about which containers, ingredients and equipment to use. You never know what this list of 1,000 members (!!) will have just laying around that we could easily pass on to help you get started again. Good luck ~Bonnie - " Kirstin Key " <kirstinkey Graham: My heart falls to hear your story. Guest guest
Graham, I'm sorry you had such a hard time. I hate the trips from hell and then to come back home to another mess. Unfortunately, I can't contribute anything physical, but I can offer my prayers. My firm's disability insurance is jacking me around asking for everything but God's intention when he sent me down to this planet, so now I haven't gotten a check and I'm overdrawn at the bank. Fortunately, I bought a truckload of food last week because I knew they would pull this on me. But I'm sure it will all work out for you. I've decided I'm not going to stress out and life has taught me that some of the best things come when you just put out what you need, sit still and wait for it. The answers will come. Guest guest
Thanks to all that have sent messages back At the moment I don't have a wish list. I'm so depressed that I'm not sure I want to carry on with the business. Between Lynda's illnesses and all that has been going on since I lost my job in December. The first prority is to pay the house rent for this month then we can go from there. I have put up a couple of photos on the website if you want to see what wind can do even in Tucson. The tent/garage was well pegged down with 3 foot stakes and strapped down too. Guest guest
You have unstintingly shared your knowledge with us, Graham, for some of us over many years. Even more inspiring has been your humour and your faith. Whatever comes from this testing time, one thing that is already obvious is how it, and you, have brought out the love and generosity of those on this list. Let us know what you need. I am sure that it will be forthcoming from many different sources. My prayers and thoughts are with you both, Love, Allana-Joy
Guest guest
Graham and Linda, I am SO sorry to hear of your devastation! I can't imagine coming home to this mess, cleaning it up and having the fear of a lack of income to boot! I went to your web page: http://Luna-Aromatics.com to respond privately but unfortunately there was not an e-mail to do this. I would be happy to donate $300 in supplies to help you guys out. Being a supplier for more of the skin care trade I am not sure what I have that might help. Just let me know and we can go from there. Blessings and warmest wishes, Markey www.gardenofwisdom.com *snippet* , " Graham Sorenson " <graham@a...> wrote: > After the vacation from hell. > > We need your Prayers!! Guest guest
Ditto to all that has been said. Don't know what you need, except monitary, and I can not do that<G>, but if you get a list up, I might have stuff you need. Like beeswax...I get mine from a local beekeeper and have 2 - 2 lb bricks that I know I can spare. As I'm a soap and toiletry maker...I really don't know what you might use that I have. I just know that you advertize your balm or salve and if it has beeswax, I can help you there. Anita
