Would the concern with regard to safety apply to orange peel wax as well?

I can't find any information on the cosmetics company links you gave.

In any case the fact something is promoted does not mean it is being

used. If these waste products were used in commercial cosmetics it

would be at a minute volume. This gets back to the problem I have

talked about before, of equating the fact something is used in

commercial cosmetics or food at minute volumes of use, and then

assuming it is ok to use it at to the volumes used in aromatherapy or

even in home soap making.
