Guest guest
I made my dog shampoo with my regular base liquid soap recipe and added the water from cooked whole oats . . . We have a Bichon and her skin itching has totally stopped (its a miracle!!). My groomer used the shampoo and when he brought Murphy back said " I want a gallon of that soap . . . best I have every used and I purchase the best I can find. " Weeeeelllll . . . . If I am going to sell it to him, I need to be certain the product is top quality and has a good shelf life (though he has 85 customers and plans to use it all the time). Now for my question . . . For home bathing Murphy, I do not mind having the oat water as a base . . . it requires a little shaking before using. I also added a little preservative since real oat water was used. Can I continue this process or should I invest in " store bought " hydrolyzed oat formula? Your input is most appreciated. -Helen
