Guest guest
I have a very small soap business and have been printing my own labels. I need a new printer and I'm thinking of going with Canon because of lower cost of the ink cartridges. Does anyone have a canon and can make some recommendations to me. There are so many different ones out there. I'm looking to not spend very much hopefully. The PIXMA 750 looks good to me. It is an all in one scanner printer Peggy Lowell McNaughton Soap www.splendidsoap.com .. ---------- Version: 7.0.323 / Virus Database: 267.8.1/28 - Release 6/24/
Guest guest
I have a Canon i860. (think it cost like $80ish 1-2 years ago) It is just a color ink jet printer, no scanner or fax. I have been very happy with it. Prints great, no problems with jamming, colors are always good. The color cartridges are sold separately so you aren't paying for colors that haven't run out yet. The color cartridges cost about $11.00 each (in Alaska). I had a Lexmark all in one last time and I had continual problems with it. Couldn't communicate with the computer, printed in off colors, wouldn't feed straight... HTH Juliet >I have a very small soap business and have been printing my own labels. Guest guest
Thanks Juliet...that helps a lot. That is why I'm leaning toward the canon...the cartridge costs. Have you used cardstock in it? Guest guest
I have used card stock, a wide variety of sticker papers, iron-on transfer paper, photo paper.... cant think of any others, but they all worked fine. Guest guest
Hi Peggy, I have an Epson CX 6600, it prints anything you would ever want. Uses dura brite ink, which will not smear when wet, individual cartridges. I think we have an Epson rep on this list. She could give you all the details. I couldn't tell you anything about a Cannon - Epson is all I have ever used - even back in the stone age of tractor type printers! Never been able to wear one of these printers out. The cartridges are a little pricier, but you may purchase individual colors as needed. Epson has a recycling program.
