Guest guest
The weather has treated us well (Okay, except for the fact that it's 93 already, in JUNE!!!) and we've been running the still every day for a week. which means, hydrosols galore! Fresh from the still this week: Lemon Balm, Sage, and really really good Chocolate Mint. Currently available in 2 oz. cobalt blue glass mister bottles, and 8 oz. plastic bottles. Try my new obsession - hydrosol " lemonade " ! Sparkling water, honey, and lemon balm hydrosol to taste. Garnish with a slice of lemon and you're in HEAVEN! Soon we'll be offering 32 oz. and gallon sizes of several hydrosols, so if you're looking for larger quantites, watch this list or drop us an email at shop. Thanks, and happy summer everyone! -maggie Hydrosols page: http://prairielandherbs.com/hydrosols.htm Main Web Page: http://prairielandherbs.com/index.htm June 2005 Photogranhic Garden Journal: http://prairielandherbs.com/gardenjournaljune2005.htm
Guest guest
Please do read my article on hydrosols before being tempted to use them as medicine or food. http://www.aromamedical.com/articles/hydrosols.htm This company claims they " do not use preservatives " , in that case they should clearly state how they prevent their products from becoming contaminated with bacteria and other organisms. Are the bottles pasterised perhaps? Do they have their hydrosols lab tested periodically? Please also take note of the ambient temperature in their vicinity, which makes an ideal growth medium for bugs in all bottled water. I must say I am disappointed that no one else on this group has challenged this companies claims. We have discussed this issue so many times in the past.
