Guest guest
Chris, about the Neroli Hydrosol that you're featuring for the pre- buy, can you tell me what kind of shelf life that should have, generally speaking of course, if it's kept in the fridge, and a reasonable effort is made not to contaminate it. I'm really interested, and am just wondering about how long to expect it to be good to use. Thanks! Pam in Gettysburg
Guest guest
Hi Pam, If not contaminated and kept in the fridge I've had hydrosols last me a good long time, so I'd not worry about it going bad in a matter of months or anything IF it doesn't get contaminated (and once purchased customers can certainly do as they please with it as far as adding a preservative if they feel it is necessary). I can tell you is this - when I was in Turkey for the Rose Otto distillation in 2001 I bottled some rose hydrosol direct from the still. Well, I accidentally left it in the trunk of Butch's car - where it still is to this day. Where he lives in Turkey - Ankara, they have hot summers and cold snowy winters - and according to our last discussion about it, which was not that long ago - the hydrosol shows no sign of any yuckies living in it and looks the same as it did when we bottled it. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com On Behalf Of pkginter Chris, about the Neroli Hydrosol that you're featuring for the pre- buy, can you tell me what kind of shelf life that should have, generally speaking of course, if it's kept in the fridge, and a reasonable effort is made not to contaminate it.
