Guest guest
Hey stubborn woman who has passed it along to her kiddo ;-p ... I recall you telling me some time ago that your daughter isn't a " girly " kind of girl, so a trip to a fancy bra shop won't entice her, BUT they do have tank tops now that have built in support layers that work like bras for small to medium size busts (they don't work for F/G cups like this milking mama currently has has ;-p). She might find something like that comfortable, fashionable and not too " girly " . Also, maybe those " sports bras " might be to her liking too. They are far more comfy than many standard bras are. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com On Behalf Of Woobey Queen > Now, got any sure fire methods on how > to make her WEAR the flipping things? Guest guest
I second the 'sports bra'! The single layer cotton ones are my favorite, but they're hard to find. Good luck, they are stubborn until they decide it's their own idea ;-) ~Pamela >> SNIP << Also, maybe those " sports bras " might be to her liking too. Guest guest
Yep, tried those. Tried Pretty bras too. Pretty sport bras. Plain colored sport bras. That pain in the backside... she just pulls at them and says " I don't like it " . Like a young cat with her first collar she is! And Chris, I'm NOT stubborn. I'm the most laid back, easy-going person you'll ever meet... completely malleable ;-) Cheers! Guest guest
Kathleen, What if she picks out the bras herself (ie from a GOOD bra store)? Something like " Look. Here's the deal. You have to wear a bra ... its not a choice. BUT you can pick the color yourself ... " When you take her, maybe you could do a favorite thing together right after? I remember that my mom bought me all the bras and I wouldn't wear them. UNTIL my friends began to wear them and we started talking about it. I quietly began to wear them on my own. You may want to look at yogawear companies for camisoles & yummy bras. I get mine from Blue Canoe pre-buys. They're amazing (the fabric is soooo nice) but spendy ... I'm sure there are other places out there. OOOOOHH! Did anyone mention this? A way to phase in would be to buy her a whoooole bunch of summer tank tops (you could go non-girly) with the built in shelf bra. She's get used to the feeling of support without the harness feeling. Then in the fall you could transition to something minimal and work your way up gradually. Old Navy used to have a ton of these but I've found them in Sears too. Good luck ... I have a few years before I hit this mark! DD turned one this week :-) Melissa

They have wonderful clothing in general, but be prepared to pay top dollar. In the past, I have gotten all my yogawear from Blue Canoe. Women in my yoga classes did a co-op buy, since their opening wholesale order is $250. Kindest regards and good luck on the bra search Woobey. Sandi Thompson, R.A. Guest guest
Kathleen, I was referring to the young cat with the new collar being stubborn - I realized after I posted that I'd used too many unclear pronouns - sorry for the confusion! My young kittens were stubborn, especially the first one :-) ~Pamela On Behalf Of Woobey Queen Thursday, June 16, 2005 3:13 AM RE: bra help/OT Yep, tried those. Tried Pretty bras too.
