Guest guest
I got some cotton camis for my daughter at Target I think they are Hanes brand. As for measuring for a bra, you can take her to any dept store JC Penney, Dillards, Macys and they will fit her for a bra, I can never remember how to do it. Guest guest
Well, Toronto seems to be winning the moving wars. While I'm a bit disappointed that Spokane lost out, Toronto does seem to get rave reviews from most folk including my brother and my mother who says they're green with envy at the thought. The only disappointing thing is that It's going to be several more months before we move. Husband wants to trade in his Green card for citizenship first and we don't know perzactly how long that's going to take... >sigh< Course the good news is I don't have to clean up the house right away! LOL! Now Bras. I've got an 11.5 year old who has gone from budding to Popping. Just noticed it last night. She's a baggy t-shirt kinda gal and I knew she was starting to develop, I had bought her some " first bras " and she refused to wear them... didn't really blame her, once you're locked into the " over the shoulder boulder " things one rarely becomes free of them... anyway, last night she came downstairs in just her knickers (modesty is a word that my kids don't really know the meaning of) and BOY HOWDY did I get an eyefull... that girl needs to start getting used to wearing bras. Thing is, I have forgotten how one measures for bras. I know one measures around under the breasts, then across the breasts and the difference in inches is supposed to give me the cup size... I can't remember the exact details though... is it every four inches for a cup size? Also, where does one get chamisoles? I haven't been able to find any for little girls. Well, I think that does it for strange inquiries today! LOL Cheers! Guest guest
>Bra info from my sears catalog: > Two components make up your bra size #1) band size ( i.e. 32,34,36) and #2) cup size ( i.e. A,B,C) Band size: wrap measuring tape tightly around your rib cage then add 5 inches to this measurement. ( I.E. 27 " rib cage + 5 " =32 " band size). Cup size: measure loosely around the fullest part of your bust, then subtract your band size from this measurement. A difference of 0 " =AA, 1 " =A, 2 " =B, 3 " = C, 4 " =D, 5 " =DD. so there you go, hope it helps Carol > > > > > > >
Guest guest
I thought about this since I sent my last note, and I thought I remembered that it was add _4_ inches to the band measurement to get the band size, but add one more if you get an odd number for that band size because that band size needs to be even? Guest guest
Okay Karen, are you trying to confuse me? Just Keep in mind that I'm the chick who gets dizzy just looking at numbers on the thermometer (It's 83 outside right now - whoops, gotta take a deep breath for that brief dizzy spell! LOL), adding and subtracting bring on nose bleeds, and Heaven forfend if I gotta multiply or divide! Okay, I gotta add four or five inches from the band measurement to get the 32, 34 etc size and then for every inch is a cup size according to Carol. Just looking at my little chickadee, I'm guess she's already a B cup. Thanks Gals! I shorely appreciate it. Now, got any sure fire methods on how to make her WEAR the flipping things? She's been down right pigheaded about the whole thing... I don't know WHERE she gets this stubborn streak from, but man! It's a pain in the neck to deal with. Cheers! Guest guest
You can always buy a soft measure tape with bra measurements on it.They sell them at any of the fabric stores.Maybe even a drug store if they have a home sewing section.Ravenstone --- Woobey Queen <WoobeyQueen wrote: > Okay Karen, are you trying to confuse me?
