Guest guest
Hello All, I'm just beginning my venture into making balms, butters, lotions, and massage oils, and am seeking information on percentage usages of various base and carrier oils. Does anyone know of a good reference book or other resource which identifies which oils can be safely used 100% (ie for massage oils or balm bases) and which ones (if any) must be used in smaller concentrations? Thanks very much, Holly

You don't run into the same issues with carrier oils like you do essential oils. More you'll come across " what properties " do you want from you oils and butters, over what can or can't be used on the skin unblended or " undiluted " . > Does anyone know of a good reference book or > other resource which identifies which oils can be > safely used 100% (ie for massage oils or balm bases) and > which ones (if any) must be used in smaller concentrations? There is a book called " Carrier Oils for Aromatherapy & Massage " by Len Price ISBN: 1874353026 > Thanks very much, > Holly *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com
