Guest guest
I just picked up a package of insect repellent towlettes that lists the active ingredients as Geraniol (20%), Mint (1%) and Rosemary (1%). First question is about the Geraniol. Is this just plain ol' geranium EO, or is geraniol just one chemical constituant of geranium EO? If it is geranium EO, doesn't 20% seem like an awful lot? (That was the second question. ;^) ) Adding " mint " and rosemary brings the total up to 22%. . . . this is a product that intednded to be used directly on the skin. Whilst on the subject of this product (Bug Band), the inactive ingredients are water, mineral oil, (yuck), hydrogenated vegetable oil and lecithin. I don't make lotions because of the need for a chemical preservative, but isn't this basdically just a lotion? Wouldn't it require a preservative? Inquiring minds want to know! Thanks bunches!
