Hi all,

Long time since I mailed. We were hit by a tornado a couple of weeks ago and

this was a shock as these are not a standard weather condition for West

Australia. Amazing how a wind that lasts for only 15 minutes can create such

havoc! All the houses in our village are closely surrounded by huge gum

trees so few people escaped if they were in the path of the tornado. Nobody

hurt...astonishing!

Here is my remedy to ward off winter colds and flu'...we have been using

this for about 25 years and it works well.

Contrary to what you may think, this juice is delicious. It may counteract

excessive blood clotting, help control diabetes, lower cholesterol and blood

pressure and keep flu' and cold bugs at bay. In addition, it can help to

reduce inflammation.

Make a fresh 'batch' every 3-4 days. Don't refrigerate unless the house is

really warm.

Take 2-3 teaspoons (10-15ml) 3 times daily. I enjoy eating the chopped

mixture and many people comment that it's like a good chutney, but if this

doesn't appeal, just drink the juice.

'LONG-LIFE JUICE'

1 finely chopped onion

4 finely crushed garlic cloves

1 finely chopped chilli

Juice of 1 lemon

2-3 teaspoons finely grated ginger

2 teaspoons finely grated horseradish root

Runny honey to cover

Put the onion and garlic in a jar, pour the lemon juice over. Mix well.

Pour honey into the jar until the contents are well covered, stir and put

more honey if needed. Stir well and frequently.

Keep a lid on the jar.

Go well,
