Guest guest
Dear Chris, I have only a couple of Rose damascenas in my garden. I have dried all my petals as they bloom. Have you ever made rose petal jam with freshly dried rose petals . They are from the last month. Thank you, Alison
Guest guest
Hi Alison, I've only tried making rose jam and preserves with fresh rose petals. Dunno how well it would or wouldn't work with the dried. If you try it with the dried please let us know how it comes out. On a side note - I'm sure it can be made with other varieties of fresh petals too (the more fragrant the better) if you have them. Also, remember folks, the recipe at the link below makes a very thick preserve. You can add more water to get a thinner jam *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com On Behalf Of Alison Thornton Dear Chris, I have only a couple of Rose damascenas in my garden.
