Ok folks, (Chris, Butch)

I'm so challenged when it come to %'s of EO's to use.

I want something that will keep the gnats, mosquito's and flies off my dogs

and the inside of their ears.

I have FCO has my carrier oil, but when you say use

5-6% Catnip

3-4% Lemon Eucalyptus

How does this mean???? 5-6% equates out to how much for say a 4 ounce

bottle

If either of you would please take me from square one to the end I would be

forever grateful.

Blessings to you,

Janet

Hi Janet,

yes, all these numbers can be tricky!

I've found that the easiest way to do it is break it down into easy

numbers.

4 oz = 120 ml

1% of 120 is 1.2

1.2 x 5 = 6

So 6 ml is 5% of 120 ml (or 4 oz)

I hope that helps :)

But, don't forget to subtract the 6 m. from the 120 ml and only use

114 ml of carrier, yes?

(a list mom who thinks stuff like this would be great to put up in the

Files section for quick reference, and NO, Chris, I don't volunteer,

since I just fulfilled one of your volunteer requests, LOL, but if

somebody does get a great math chart/reference together, i wouldn't

mind alittle cross-group pollination.)

Oh YES! I forgot to mention that - you want 120 ml TOTAL - which is 114

ml of carrier plus 6 ml of EO ...

I will try to get this kind of info into the files section ... or if

anyone else wants to volunteer ... ;)
