I've used Lemonscented tea tree, patchouli and cedarwood (our " skeeterbeater " blend) on both our FAT 45 lb sheltie and 5 1/2 lb pomeranian... diluted WAY down on max, the baby... no ill effects...and the skeeters and fleas stay away. Years ago a neighbor had one, and he always barked at my kids, etc... Starr had been abused, and we rescued him. So he's weird to begin with. And Max, the Pom thinks he's (Max) is a Rottweiler...very Alpha Male... of course ONE of them will hear something in the night, start to bark and then the other will start too. I don't know if either, alone, would be a problem barker...but the combination??? ouch. the FUNNY thing is that Starr is terrified of my old cat...the one with no teeth and no claws... won't go into a room if he sees Jezebel there. He's learned the hard way to be afraid of little Blue...SHE has both teeth and claws...he used to chase her until one day she turned and fought. now he won't leave the bedroom in the morning because he knows she's sitting in the hallway waiting for me to come make breakfast. (I think he's afraid he might become breakfast if I don't go first.) Celebrating 10 years online. Supplying pure Essential Oils, Aromatherapy Accessories, Information and more!
