Guest guest
Butch, I agree with you. As much as I hate war, and think we have no business often butting into other country's affairs, I think our veterans and soldiers deserve high respect. My father passed away last year, almost a year ago today (june 3). I'm still waiting for the flag promised by the Armed Forces (he was supposed to receive one for burial purposes). He seems to have slipped through the cracks there. They've done nothing for his contributions to the country. He was air force. Perzackly .. and good it is. I can't imagine a leader getting his troops together and letting them VOTE on how the mission will be conducted. ;-) > The president (if ya like him or not) is their boss (so to speak) and > our armed forces are mainly doing the jobs that their boss tells them > to.. They don't have a choice. True it is .. the President is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and to violate legal orders one must be as nut case! > Buy again, enough of my ramblings... > Sending big hugs of congrats your way! > Michelle Thanks much .. and to all the many folks on this list who are veterans and/or retirees from the US Military .. or the Military of any other Nation .. they are all my brothers and sisters and I salute them. Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch >>Just yesterday I received in the mail a letter signed by Secretary of >>the Army Francis J. Harvey and Chief of Staff of the Army General Peter >>J. Schoomaker .. along with it was a Certificate of Appreciation and a >>U. S. Army lapel pin. I expect that every retiree received the same.
