Guest guest
Dear Group, Thank you for all your kind words, wishes, thoughts and emails over the past several weeks. We lost my mother Saturday morning of a massive stroke. She had been ill with a fractured back for some time. She had surgery and had been moved to rehab where she was making progress. We had expected to bring her home sometime within the next two weeks but now she has gone to a better place where she will not experience pain or osteophorsis any longer. When I last saw her she was smiling and happy. I had taken her dog to visit her earlier in the day and that night I told her that I loved her one last time. I have good memories of her. Please keep us in your prayers over the next week. We will bury her this Saturday when my brother gets back from the middle of the Pacific Ocean. He is a merchant marine engineer who is at this present time on his way to Hawaii from San Diego. It has taken many telephone calls and messages to track him down in the middle of the ocean. (I hope that no one else I ever knows has to track someone down like this.) He finally got word and called me a few minutes ago from a ship to shore telephone with a bad connection. So he now knows about our Mother's passing and will get home when his ship docks. Everyone take care and tell your parents and children and spouses and friends, " I love you " because you do not know how short your time will be. Everyone, I LOVE YOU, all. Love, Rhavda

Guest guest
Rhavda: I am so very sorry for you loss. I, too, had a very special moment with my Mom before she passed away. I was able to apologize for being such a challenge in my first 18 years and told her just how much I loved her. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and hope in someway the good vibes come through. Guest guest
Dear Rhavda, Sorry for your loss. Your devotion to your mother has been an inspiration. I will be extra nice to my 89 year old mother who is due here in about ten days for a 5 week stay. She is a dear, but still quite a wilful character and not beyond emotional blackmail. My life sort of comes to a grinding halt when she is here. I would really like to live closer by, so I could visit more frequently but for shorter times. One doesn't think of those things when one moves across oceans and continents at age 25. PS Sorry this is late, but I am spending more time outside than at the desk right now.
