Anyone ever make a batch of oven process soap and end up with the bars

being kind of " oily " upon the initial removal? I just had that happen to

a batch - and its not like it separated, and it was not at all lye

heavy, and it didn't go weird or get messed up in any way, except that

the bars are kind of oily?!? :(

I tell you - I am feeling cursed these past few days! *lol*

Chris,

I've done this before....only mine was plain cold processed soap. :) The

only thing I can figure, is that I didn't get my fragrance oil blended

throughly enough before the pour. It's also done this once with an

essential oil blend I used for fragrance.

You didn't mention if you used FO's or EO's in the batch....

I simply wiped the extra oil from the soap with paper towels, and allowed

the bars to cure an extra week. The last batch that I had to 'weep' oil

like that is some of the best smelling, best lathering soap I believe I've

ever made. LOL I have to say it's been my most favorite batch of soap to

date. :)

HTH a bit,

Candy
