I am so glad to see this thread!

 

Snopes remains a great source when it comes to

checking out urban legends.

I make it a point to consult it before I send on

any " forward foward " .

 

They do a good job at viruses.

 

They are also excellent when it comes to keeping

track of which missing children are truly missing.

 

However, regarding the many injurious substances found in today's food and

environment they are relentlessly mainstream.

 

They will take the FDA's word on things.

Most people who have hung around the natural

foods and personal care movement for a while

view the FDA with deep suspicion.
