Guest guest
HI, I'm new to the list and new to herbs. I have found some plants growing wild by my house and they appear to be chamomile. I have just purchased a herb book but it is not that easy for me to make a positive ID. Can someone help with the identification? I have posted two pictures in the photos section under the folder name Chamomile. The plants are about 12 to 18 inches high and the larger flowers are about 1 inch in diameter. Thanks for any help on the ID.

Guest guest
That sure looks like the daisy that grows in my backyard. Is this the same thing? I'm in Ohio. Guest guest
Looks like chamomile to me- the final test would be if it SMELLS like chamomile- there is a weed which looks almost identical,Mayweed, Anthemis cotula- but is stinky! That sure looks like Matricaria chamomilla, the other chamomile, Anthemis nobilis, has fragrant foliage. Happy Tea drinking, Michelle www.greentaramama.com
