Thank you Chris for allowing this prebuy. She is in no way responsible

for the outcome. Any questions should be directed to

prebuy .

We are more than halfway there in meeting the minimum on this prebuy.

Invoices will start going out next week. As soon as all payments are in, we

will be ordering the Polyglucose.

You may be asking, what is Decyl Polyglucose? Well, read on to find out

about this wonderful natural surfactant -

Decyl Polyglucose (INCI - Decyl Glucoside) is a mild non-ionic surfactant

composed of sugar (glucose) derived from corn starch and fatty alcohols

(decanol) derived from coconuts.

It is soluble in water, with a ph factor of 5-6 (as is). Corn supplies the

carbohydrates which are converted with fatty alcohols from native oils, such

as coconut or palm kernel oil, into alkyl polyglycosides. Decyl polyglucose

is a fatty polyglycoside prepared by reacting cornstarch glucose with

natural fatty alcohol.

Decyl Polyglucose is considered to be part of a new generation of

surfactants. In Europe, where the worlds strictest cosmetic regulations are

in place under the EU Cosmetics Directive, the demand for the alkyl

polyglucosides increased by 400% in the space of four years.

It is a nonionic surfactant derived from corn and vegetable glycerin sugars.

It is readily biodegradable, is an effective, gently cleaner, extremely

mild, performs well in hard water conditions, low in toxicity and clinical

tests have shown it to be non irritating, even at high concentrations and

extended exposure. It is an exceptionally mild co-surfactant compatible with

all types of surfactants (also useful as primary surfactant), foam

stabilizer, low defatting but good wetting properties and improves the

conditioning effect of cationic surfactants.

Polyglucose exhibits all of the mildness traits of nonionics, with the foam

of an anionic. It is this unique characteristic that enables it to be

utilized as both a primary and co-surfactant in formulations. Many companies

with a natural focus to their formulations are now turning to Polyglucose as

their primary, and in some cases only, surfactant. It is so mild that it

doesn't require blending with any of the mildness additives.

Many companies with a natural focus are now using decyl polyglucose as their

primary, and in some cases only, surfactant.

Decyl polyglucose can be used in shampoos, body washes, bubble baths,

creams, hand soaps, baby products, hair conditioners, cleansing lotions,

cream rinses, eye makeup removers, etc,. from as little as 1% to using it

fully at 100%. Even used at a minimum, it can help give your liquid soaps a

boost to turn your shower gel into a bubble bath! It can also be used in

place of Sodium Laurel Sulfoaceotate in the making of Foaming Bath Bombs or

anything that you would use SLS or SLSa.

This comes in a liquid form and will be sold by the pound, 8lb and 40lb

sizes.

This prebuy will stay open until the minimum has been met. Once the minimum

has been reached, we will send out invoices.

Thank you so much for this opportunity. My 2.5 year old dd is sensitive to

almost all other surfactants and i am tired of paying $14/bottle for CA Baby

products which she goes through in about 5 baths (that's almost $3 per bath!

yikes!!) ... which also left me wondering what the heck decyl polyglucose was

and if us hobbyists/small shops can buy it and use it in our liquid soaps ... so

thank you for the info and the buying opportunity!!!

I am wondering if anyone has any (bubble bath) recipes for using decyl

polyglucose? I know the recommended concentration is 4-40% but that still

leaves a lot of room for guessing and playing around and my dd has had enough

rashes!!!

and yes, i am new to the list and will introduce myself shortly.
