What you may have is actually not a lady bug but an Asian beetle. They look

just like a ladybug sometimes a little more orange and they bite too. We had

these in Manitoba like you are describing. My windows were covered in them and

they were everywhere. I actually had pictures of them in my vacuum cleaner.

Literally thousands and thousands of them. It was creepy, almost like a horror

film :) I was informed when we were there that they were not a lady bug but an

Asian beetle that was brought here to help control some other bug (cant remember

which one) and they are getting out of control now. Good one eh!
