Guest guest
Western Oregon could also see a rise in feral swine populations in the next few years. The mix of wild boar and escaped pig is already established in southwestern Oregon and easily could spread north, Hilburn said. Surely there are plenty of semi-feral hunters around to look after that particular problem, at least? If Oregon lacks them, neighboring Idaho and Wyoming have plenty. Speaking as a consumer, I would love to see " wild-grown pork " in the grocery store rather than the stuff there is now. I won't buy it not because it isn't kosher but because it is grown in ways that are cruel to beast, man, and land. Read Annie Proulx' excellent novel " That Ol' Ace in the hole " for what it does to people and land.
