Guest guest
We just got back from a little spring RV jaunt to California. Folks, I am in love. We traveled the whole North Coast down to Aptos near Santa Cruz, where an old friend from here ended up. It wasn't as warm as I had hoped, but the flowers! And the lush green! And the shape of those oaks! Much quieter than the Oregon coast too. It does take forever. Twisting, up and down, 30 miles per hour and worth it. I could have stopped at every interesting looking plant but of course that is never possible. We kept seeing these beautiful blue flowering bushes that looked sort of like Rosemary, except Rosemary doesn't get that big, does it?? ( I believe down there it does). Trilliums in the redwoods. Clumps of white Calla lillies everywhere. Dunes covered in colorful icefowers. Something with HUGE blue flowering cones that I never saw before, both wild and in the wild. Maybe we got a particularly flattering view of the place. But now at least I understand why so many people want to move to the land of quakes and flakes. Ien in the Kootenays, where spring is trying hard and I just saw a coltsfoot, yeah! ***************************** You ought to be Thankful, a Whole Heaping Lot for the places and people you're lucky you're not! ~Dr Seuss who is this Kootenay person anyway? http://www.greatestnetworker.com/is/ien ******************************
