Guest guest
Hi all We closed on our new home yesterday and looking forward to getting moved and settled. We want to repaint most of the house and because I like to play with feng shui and I like to play with EO's -- I want to combined them. I've added oils to paint before and it doesn't hurt the paint -- in fact it helps with the smell. Sooo my question is -- does anyone know which oils correspond with the segments of the bagua? I've looked in a couple of the books I have and haven't found anything. I know the info has to be out there. Thanks in advance Rita

There is a local " Feng Shui master " here in Miami named Jami Lin. She is a licensed interior designer, who studied under FS master Lin(who admitted he was a fraud), and who teaches CEU in Feng Shui to local architects, designers, etc. She has published many books on FS. I got to know her when I offered to do some free PR for the local FS group. She published a book on EOs and FS. I got to know her personality and suspected she was about as deep as a puddle. One day I asked her " How did you determine what oils corresponded to the different baguas? " She replied very cheerily, " I made it all up! " I believe her book was the first on FS and EOs. I have no proof, since I never followed up, but I'm just wondering if others after her parroted her BS on FS and EOs. Please know that in traditional FS there are no uses for EOs. http://anyamccoy.com PS the bit about her " I made it all up " is on my AT debunked and defended website, and I stand by it 100%, to the point I would testify in court. She was not aware of the controversy in AT about fairy tales, or my debunking the storytellers; she wanted me to like her so I would do PR for her, and in her naive way, just blurted that out. Guest guest
Thanks Anya for the info. Timing is everything. I found her site a few days ago and had given very serious consideration about calling her. Thank you -- you saved me a call. Interesting about Master Lin -- he has taught so many people and you see his name mentioned in a lot of books. A spiritual group I'm (was until we moved and still email daily with) in had a teacher that professed to be something he wasn't and after we found out, this lead to many many conversations and discussions about who do you believe and how do you know. Interesting! When we painted the last house I used a variety of oils in the paint, but mostly frankincense. My youngest SS (was about 19 at the time) has a personality problem and after about 2 days of being around the oils really freaked out -- Keep in mind there were only 2 or 3 drops per bucket of paint! Thanks again for the info Rita Message: 4 Thu, 14 Apr 2005 15:02:38 -0000 " rastapoodle " Re: OT (sorta) Feng Shui and oils Hi Rita: This is a true story. Interesting about Master Lin -- he has taught so many people and you see his name mentioned in a lot of books. Hi Rita Good timing indeed! I would't call her if she paid ME. The Black Hat cult is a bunch of baloney, modern fast food FS, and here's the bit that I was referring to about GM Lin, (the man) as he was challenged by the sheer failure of his Four Pillars predictions: BLACK SET MASTER LIN YUN BREAKS HIS OWN HALO BY SAYING, " YOU'RE BETTER OFF BELIEVING YOURSELF INSTEAD OF BELIEVING ME. " - He admits that 99.9% of his predictions have been wrong. July 7, 1997 Taipei, Taiwan: As this country continues to reel from back-to-back scandals involving its political leaders and their spiritual advisors, the guru of the so-called Black Sect, Master Lin Yun, surrounded by his students and followers in the Presidential Suite of the Hyatt, Taipei, admits in a shocking interview of self-denouncement, " The best advice I can offer is to tell you that you are better off believing yourself instead of believing me. I am a wandering impostor whose predictions have been 99.9% wrong. " He cited his 1994 prediction that Li Deng Hui would not be renominated to the presidency of Taiwan (not only was he renominated, he was reelected). He sheepishly shrugged, " My record of successes is very poor. " " People call me the Grand Master when, in fact, I am the Grand Disappointment. " Born in Beijing, and raised in Taijung, Lin Yun studied and loosely based his Black Sect cult on Tibetan beliefs. He told of how he was ostracized in Taiwan for combining elements of Taoism, Feng Shui, Yin Yang, fortunetelling, psychology, medicine, color theory and construction into his own brand of Feng Shui. He lamented, " My biggest mistake in life was to study religion. " He would not name names, but he did add that he has given Feng Shui advice to many highly placed officials in the Taiwanese government. Although his Black Sect beliefs have been widely rejected in Asia, Lin Yun has found a more receptive following in the West, where he has a temple each in California and New York. http://anyamccoy.com
