Guest guest
Hi folks, DH brought home a vial of (to quote him) " extremely rare and precious opium EO from the massage therapist for relaxation " . I didn't see the bottle but *I*'m thinking its fragrance oil. DH argued and insists its the real thing. Does opium EO exist? Dubious... Guest guest
I'm dubious too, since it wouldn't be profitable to even distill Opium for the EO as it probably would be better money to sell the drug itself. I've only run into the business end of Opium once (in my young wild days) so I can see where the attraction for addicts is. It does have some medicinal uses and there are pharmaceuticals that contain it as well...adds up to too much money in useable drug form and not worth distilling for scent use. Guest guest
Hi Melissa, Never heard of real opium essential oil and I dunno why anyone would make it (thinking about costs and/or what the legal issues would be surrounding it considering that hemp seed oil without any THC has gone through plenty of bureaucratic troubles). Just for the opium style record - I've never heard of a poppy essential oil either (although I have heard of poppy seed fixed oil). I have indeed heard of an oil blend called opium (like the perfume) - and in most cases (like with many blends) it contains synthetic oils. *Smile* Chris (list mom - trying to catch up after not turning on my computer ALL day Sunday and all morning today) Perfume Bottles and Pendants On Sale Through Earth Day (Or While Supplies Last) <http://www.alittleolfactory.com/> http://www.alittleolfactory.com Hi folks, DH brought home a vial of (to quote him) " extremely rare and precious opium EO from the massage therapist for relaxation " .
