Having lived and worked in more countries than many Americans have seen states I can gar-an-tee that if there is reason to fear government there is far less reason to fear it in the United States and Western Europe. Perfect we ain't but the degree of protection afforded by the systems in place are superior to those in the majority of countries in the world. My American passport has allowed me to have certain rights in countries where their own citizens had few rights .. and there are many so-called friendly countries where an American passport is no barrier to abuse. > -- Sandy > Spring is on its way!
