Hi guys,

Has anyone heard of this essential oil? What is it? What is it for? Is it

a gimmick? L'Occitane has a line that uses this " precious " essential oil in

some anti-aging products.

Thanks for your help.

Essential oil of Immortelle

Hi Dian,

Immortelle (and sometimes 'strawflower') is the common name for Helichrysum

spp. This common name has been in existence for ages in the flower and

horticulture worlds. When it comes to aromatherapy, there is only one

Helichrysum species to choose because of its superior application for soft

tissue regeneration (excluding broken skin on which it should never be

used), and that is Helichrysum italicum from Corsica. I'm sure you will get

many posts here because of personal experience with this lovely healing oil.

Be well,
