Hi Folks,

This week (March 28 - April 3) our herb of the week will be Patchouli

(Pogostemon cablin).

I will post various info about patchouli all week, and I hope that

anyone who has any personal experience with this plant will not hesitate

to chime in about it :-D

Hi Chris:

I use patchouli e.o. for a lot of my skin healing salves, etc. Works well and

oooo, that smell. Everyone seems to like it, especially when it's mixed with

the other ingredients.

I have never liked patchouli.

It reminds me of some of my hippie friends in the

old days, needing a bath and wearing thriftshop clothes.

It hangs around for ages in anything you buy in the

hemp store.

Oooh, I absolutely love patchouli!! But I know a lot of people

who absolutely despise it!!

For those of you who do like patchouli, here is a good one-

A few months back, my son spilled some dried patchouli on my carpet.

I vacuumed it up and boy did my room smell good! I have a vacuum

that has a permanent bag and after 3 months and even a few disposals

my vacuum still smells like patchouli whenever I use it! It *almost*

makes vacuuming pleasant!
